Hey, you like stories, right? Of course, and soon you will be able to access them even faster, based on this new test on Instagram.
As you can see in this screenshot provided by Ed Maughan (and provided by social media expert Matt Navarra), Instagram is currently testing a new two-story channel, Stories, for some users.

Currently, various users are reporting that they saw a new display of “History”, an updated format which will appear this week.
Instagram confirmed the SMT test by providing the following brief statement
“We are always testing ways to improve your Instagram experience.”
There is not a word about how widely the option is tested, nor about specific regions where it is available. But this is, indeed, being tested, and it could become a new norm for stories if he sees a positive response from users.
Over the past few months, Instagram has indeed considered adding new Stories bubbles, and reengineering analyst Jane Manchun Wong discovered a backcode for such code in April,
Wong also recently discovered yet another “Stories” test that will facilitate quick switching between stories, which Instagram also confirmed.
The various options point to the next big shift in Instagram – with a lot of people using Stories, at some point Instagram will probably seek to shift the focus of the app from the traditional custom channel to the Stories channel from the start. This may mean that in the end your Instagram application will open in the first frame of the first story in your tray, and then you can skip stories from there.
This would be a significant shift, but, as the parent company of Facebook has repeatedly noted, Stories can surpass the news feed as the main surface for interacting with social networks, if they have not already done so.
This may seem like a big leap, but for young users, in particular, for a closer fit to the format of “Stories”, it makes sense.
Thus, a double list of stories can only be the beginning – if it turns out to be popular, you can bet that Instagram will take it as a signal that more stories are better. This can have serious consequences for the continued use of social networks. At this stage, Instagram is still testing, but it is worth noting the growing attention to history and consider how this relates to your publishing strategies.
